Honor 5X Vs Le 1S Vs Lenovo K4 Note : Comparison

The year 2016 has seen the launch of new phones with great specifications and features at an affordable price. In January 2016, Huawei finally launched Honor 5X in India to give stiff competition to affordable mid-range phones Lenovo K4 Note and LeEco Le 1s. All three smartphones were released in January 2016 and have compelling features that offer the complete value for money spent by the consumer. Impressive design, powerful performance, top-of-the-notch features are standard across Lenovo K4 Note, LeEco Le 1s and Huawei Honor 5X, creating a lot of confusion for the smartphone buyers.

Huawei launched its Honor 5X smartphone in highly competitive smartphone market of India at Rs 12,999 early this year. LeEco recently joined the race by launching Le 1s in India last week. The device offers great features for its reasonable price and poses as a strong competitor to Huawei's Honor 5X. Design and Display :

Honor 5X flaunts a premium design with a full metal body and curved edges. LeEco Le 1s also boasts a similar metal body in matte colours whereas Lenovo K4 Note comes with the plastic body offering a solid grip. All three smartphones have 5.5-inch Full HD displays. Le 1s has a unique Floating Glass 2.0 technology and the K4 Note is protected with Gorilla Glass 3. All three of them have similar dimensions with Le 1S being heaviest of all.

Performance and Processor :

Huawei Honor 5X is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor, 2GB RAM and Adreno 405 GPU. LeEco Le 1s, on the other hand, has better configuration than Honor 5X and features a 2.2GHz 64-bit octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor and 3GB RAM. Lenovo K4 Note sports a 64-bit octa-core Mediatek MT6753 processor paired with 3GB RAM and Mali T720 graphics. In terms of storage, both Huawei Honor 5X and Lenovo K4 Note come with 16GB internal storage with an expandable option upto 128GB via microSD card slot. Le 1s outperforms both of them with its 32GB internal memory. As far as performance goes, Le 1S is a sure shot winner as its EUI interface is well optimized with Helio X10, hence delivering a snappy performance. Multitasking is also better too.

For all the camera lovers out there, there is a huge dilemna as all three handsets come with 13 Mega-pixel rear camera and 5 Mega-pixel front facing camera. Le 1s features a 13MP rear camera with ISOCELL sensor along with Blue Glass IR filter, f/2.0 aperture, 0.09 second ultra-fast focus speed, PDAF and LED flash. Huawei Honor 5X has a 13MP primary camera with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF and SmartImage processor. Lenovo K4 Note has 13MP rear camera with phase-detection autofocus and two-tone, dual-LED flash. In terms of camera performance, K4 Note scores better as it shoots 16:9 aspect ratio images. Le 1s and Lenovo K4 Note both have rear-mounted fingerprint sensors which are fast and accurate.

Battery :

Huawei Honor 5X sports a 3,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 technology, which charges the device from zero to 50 percent within 30 minutes. LeEco also boasts an impressive 3,000mAh battery with quick charge features which provides 3.5 hours of talk time with just 5 minutes of charge. K4 Note packs largest 3300mAH battery which provides upto 23 hours of 2G talk time.

Software and Additional features :

All three phones are based on Android Lollipop, but have different UIs. Lenovo K4 Note features Vibe 2.5 UI, Huawei Honor 5X has Emotion UI 3.1 and Le 1s sports eUi.
As for the software, Android Lollipop is the base of operation. Huawei Honor 5X features Emotion UI 3.1 skin on top, while Le 1s has eUi custom interface. Lenovo K4 Note offers extras, such as NFC, TheatherMax technology, Wolfson WM8281 audio codec-based earphones and Dolby Atmos sound system integrated with the dual front-facing stereos. LeEco Le 1s boasts world's first mirror-surfaced fingerprint scanner and USB Type-C port for the extras.

Conclusion :

All the three phones have same display, camera and similar configuration and battery. For heavy users where smooth and lag-free performance is the priority, Le 1S seems better choice with its double storage, fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port and cheapest price. Lenovo K4 Note which closely competes Le 1S is also a great option with 3GB RAM, better camera quality and offers additional features like Dolby Sound, Theatermax technology, dual front speakers and bigger battery. Looks-wise, Honor 5X impresses most and provides vibrant display with accurate colors.
