Samsung launches budget Galaxy M series in India

Samsung has recently launched its new Galaxy M-series line-up of smartphones- Samsung Galaxy M20 and Galaxy M10 to compete with Xiaomi’s Redmi series. They are being marketed as "India-first" smartphones catering to wide range of customers. Both the phones come with new notch design, Infinity-V Display panels, dual rear camera setups, packed with in-house Exynos processors and battery backup upto 5000mAH. Galaxy M20 will be available in two variants- 4GB+64GB variant priced at Rs 12,990 and 3GB+32GB variant at Rs 10,990. Galaxy M10 is priced at Rs 8,990 for the 3GB+32GB variant and Rs 7,990 for the 2GB+16GB model. Both the phones are available in Ocean Blue and Charcoal Black colour options and can be purchased online from February 5 via Amazon.in and Samsung.com.

Samsung Galaxy M20: Features, Specifications

The device sports a premium top-notch design with a glass-like finish on the back. It features a 6.3-inch full HD+ Infinity-V display with 1080x2340 pixels resolution hence providing great visual experience to the consumers. It runs on latest Android 8.1.0 Oreo operating system based on Samsung Experience 9.5 UX and is powered by Exynos 7904 octa-core chipset paired with 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB inbuilt storage options expandable upto 512GB via a microSD card. In terms of camera quality, Galaxy M20 comes with a dual rear camera setup (13MP+5MP) and 8MP selfie camera. Other features include face unlock, fingerprint sensor and a 5000mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy M10: Features, Specifications

In terms of appearance, M20 and M10 sport similar looks and design except glossy finish on the back. Galaxy M10 features a 6.2-inch HD+ Infinity-V display with 720x1520 pixels resolution. The smartphone is powered by an Exynos 7870 chipset paired with 2GB/3GB RAM along with 16GB/32GB onboard storage options expandable upto 512GB via a microSD card. The device runs on Android 8.1.0 Oreo operating system customized with Samsung Experience 9.5 UX. It comes with a 5MP front-facing camera and dual set of rear cameras including 13MP primary sensor and 5MP secondary, ultra-wide sensor hence ensuring perfect landscapes, cityscapes and group photos. Other features include face unlock, microUSB port and a 3400mAH battery though lack of fingerprint sensor is a bit of disappointment.
