JioPhone 2 priced at Rs 2,999: Flash Sale on 16th August
Reliance Jio Phone 2, the successor to the Jio Phone, will be available for purchase in India. Reliance Jio said the JioPhone 2 will debut at Rs. 2,999 in a flash sale from 12 pm on August 16 and can be bought via MyJio or Jio.com.
Jio Phone 2 Features & Specifications
The dual SIM Jio Phone 2 features a 2.4-inch QVGA display. There is a QWERTY physical keypad with 4-way navigation key similar to that of BlackBerry devices. The predecessor of JioPhone 2, Jio Phone was equipped with a Spreadtrum 9820 dual-core chipset, clocked at 1.2 GHz though not much information about hardware specifications of JioPhone 2 is available except that it is packed with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage memory (expandable upto 128GB). In terms of software configuration, the new JioPhone 2 ships with KaiOS and supports popular apps like WhatsApp, Facebook, and YouTube which can be easily downloaded from the KaiOS store. As far as optics are concerned, JioPhone 2 sports 2MP rear shooter and a VGA front facing selfie camera.
The phone derives its power from 2000mAH battery which can offer talktime upto 14 hours ofr an average user. The connectivity options supported include Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC, Bluetooth, FM radio, VoLTE and VoWiFi. The 4G-enabled JioPhone 2 supports Voice Over LTE (VoLTE) and Voice Over WiFi (VoWifi). This budget feature phone is equipped with LTE Cat 4 support with maximum download speed of 150Mbps and upload speeds upto 50 Mbps. It is priced at Rs 2,999 and is available in Black colour option.
